Mr Daniel Navarro Lorenzo, born in Barcelona, is an award-winning international choreographer and dance artist. A graduate of the Professional Conservatoire of Dance at Institut del Teatre Spain(2010), he has performed with esteemed companies worldwide, including Polish Dance Theatre (Poland), Dantzaz (Spain), and Phoenix Dance Theatre (UK) among others. His career has taken him to prestigious stages such as Sadler’s Wells in London, Oslo Opera House, and Zurich’s Opernhaus, showcasing his dynamic artistry.
Mr Daniel has collaborated with renowned choreographers like Ohad Naharin, Shahar Binyamini, and Itzik Galili, blending diverse styles to create a unique dance language. His choreography is characterised by a strong physicality and emotive movement, transforming dance into a powerful form of human expression.
As a creator, Mr Daniel has produced works for institutions such as Compañía Nacional de Danza (Madrid) and Dance Base (Scotland) and has been commissioned by companies like Boston Dance Theatre, DAF (Italy), NSCD (UK) or NAFA (Singapore). His works have been presented at major international festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe and Adelaide Fringe Festival, receiving acclaim for their innovation and depth.
Mr Daniel’s excellence in choreography has earned him numerous accolades, including the Audience Choice Award at the 2020 WildDogs International Screendance Festival and the 2010 Delmar Choreographic Award. Currently, he serves as the director of NOMADANCE and co-artistic director of Indra Dance Company, where he continues to influence and inspire the global dance community with his visionary approach. Through his artistic endeavours, Mr Daniel remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance.
